In addition to his duties as a performer and band leader, Gary gave lessons and clinics in Jazz Improvisation and Trumpet Techniques for elementary to advanced students throughout his Navy career.
Gary gives clinics in area schools for secondary students and up. He is also available for private lessons on the trumpet and the flugel horn out of his home.
Gary is currently a substitute teacher for Buncombe County schools.
